Our Whole, Semi-Skimmed and Skimmed Milks - both standard and organic - are homogenised.

Our Jersey Milk is not homogenised.

What is homogenisation?

Homogenisation is a simple process used to make milk smooth, creamy, and consistent every time you pour it.

Why does milk need it?

Fresh milk naturally separates: the cream rises to the top because the fat droplets are larger and lighter. Homogenisation gently breaks those fat droplets into tiny, even pieces so they stay mixed throughout the milk instead of floating to the top.

How does it work?

The milk is pushed through very small openings at high pressure. This does not change the milk’s ingredients. It just makes the texture smoother.

What does this mean for you?

  • No cream layer sitting on top
  • A more uniform taste
  • A smoother texture in tea, coffee, and cereal
  • Milk that looks the same from the first glass to the last

Is it still natural?

Yes. Nothing is added or removed during homogenisation. It only changes the size of the fat droplets, not the milk itself.
